UPDATE: A Woman’s Place is at the Front Line
Not only is #Justice missing from our Court Services, but so is #humanity.
What should be ‘Justice’, carried out in the name of the people, has become a tool for the preservation of privilege, and its attendant corruption and abuse, in our society.
Bridget Scanlon has nearly completed a year in jail, but she committed NO crime. Her ‘trial’ in Kilkenny Circuit Court excluded the public and was a complete joke, vital evidence was excluded by order of the judge, and normal safeguards for any accused were ignored.
The #Justice4BridgetScanlon campaign are inviting people to join them on St Bridget’s day, to defend all families and children abused by #Tusla and in our court systems.
They are also asking people to write letters to the Governor of the Dóchas Centre, in support of Bridget’s review on 15th February – asking for her early release, on humanitarian grounds.
