Éire go Brágh

The following email was sent to all TDs today on behalf of the Housing Action Group, let’s see who responds…

24-hour Sleep-out Protests…

Dear Deputy,

We are asking you to be with us next Tuesday, 29th May outside Dáil Éireann.

The Housing Action Group has organised a 24 hour protest, starting at 11am and continuing until Wednesday morning.

There is only 1 demand:

That Government setup a
National Emergency Committee
on the issue of Housing and Homelessness.

We hope you will stand with us; setting aside Party politics, ideology or any vested interest and deal with this crisis as a matter of urgency.

At 1pm on Tuesday we are inviting anyone who supports this demand to speak on this issue, whether you wish to speak or not please come and express your solidarity – if you can, you are invited to spend the night with us… bring a warm blanket!

Ultimately, we hope you will either initiate a move, or support one, so that our Oireachtas declares a National Emergency and establishes a Committee accordingly.

Your views on this issue are invited.

Our best wishes,

Is mise,

Cllr Diarmaid Ó Cadhla
Independent member of Cork County Council
spokesperson for Housing Action Group
